In 1967, a dispute between Janab Isthiak Sha Sahib Sarguro and the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board over a stretch of valuable property was resolved under a compromise decree passed by the Madras High Court and it was decided to set up a college in Madurai. Kadayanallur Abdul Mazith Sahip, the then Hon’ble Minister for Local Administration has sown the seed for the college by the allotting necessary funds for land asquisition and extended all support. Janab Heera Sahip and Janap Abdul Khader Sahib the two dynamic social workers and indefatigable campaigners for higher education plunged themselves into the task of transforming the vision of starting a college was started in a rented building at 5, Hakkim Ajmal Road in the name of ‘Muqyyath Sha Sirguro Wakf Board College’.
