The service costs 50 paisa per SMS. Maximum characters per SMS will depend on the type of handset you use. It is yet to be seen as to how useful and popular this service will be with the users. Will users prefer texting to GUI Interface reqd for Facebook? The cost benefit analysis also needs to be done before taking a final call on the subject. Another factor that needs to be examined is if the other operators will follow suit and offer the service.
